Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel have opened up a great opportunity for a candidate to work in a well supported secondary school in Bristol. The school are looking for a SEN (special education needs) Teaching Assistant with previous Behaviour Support experience, the role will start immediately.

Q - Have you previously been a Behaviour Support teaching assistant, working with students with SEMH, challenging behaviour and/or communication & learning difficulties?

The role will entail

  • Supporting a variety of behavioural SEN: SEMH, ADHD, ADHS, ODD
  • Delivering supportive & engaging SEN interventions
  • Working alongside the Class Teachers and permanent onsite support professionals
  • Working 1:1 or in small groups with KS3 and KS4

Candidate Specification

  • Must have attended college or university
  • Previous experience with children with behaviour issues will be beneficial
  • MUST be resilient, empathetic, committed and personable
  • Commitment towards this SEN Teaching Assistant opportunity is key

Teaching Personnel require the candidate to have the commitment to the role, pupils like the continuity with the staff they work with. This will provide them with the opportunity to feel comfortable and settled at school.

Teaching Personnel will require the successful candidate to have or applied for a child work force DBS on the update service.
