Ongoing training and support

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit experienced Learning Support Assistants for an excellent provision in the Kingswood area of Bristol.

If you are an energetic, self motivated and good communicator with a passion for learning and enjoy working as part of a team, coupled with the desire to make a difference I would love to hear from you.

My client require learning support assistants to work closely with pupils to support learning, independence, creativity, communication, choice-making and self-esteem.

Suitable candidates are required to posses the following:

  • A minimum of 12 months current or recent experience of working within a similar role
  • Posses the ability to innovate in learning experiences
  • Current or previous experience with supporting students with additional needs
  • Be confident to work with pupils aged between 11 - 19 years that can demonstrate severely challenging behaviour and find engaging with education difficult
  • Be trained in Positive Behaviour Management or equivalent
  • Experience with using alternative communication such as PECS, Makaton and Singalong - (desirable NOT essential)
