As an approved National Tutoring Programme Tuition Partner, Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for KS1 and KS2 Tutors to work in a special needs school on a full time or part-time basis, working both 1-1 and in small groups. Teaching Personnel is looking for Fully Qualified Teachers and NQTs with experience in either KS1 or KS2 English, Maths, Science or Humanities (History, Geography, RE) and holds QTS.
Children in special need schools have a range of need including autism, speech and language and social emotional mental health needs. Having experience with SEN is highly beneficial.
The National Tutoring Programme (NTP) “aims to support schools in providing a sustained response to the coronavirus pandemic and to provide a longer-term contribution to closing the attainment gap”.
You will be required to complete our tutoring training. This is an exciting role for any teacher looking to make a difference to a child’s life and see the impact 1-1 or small group tutoring can have on a child.
Requirements
- QTS or equivalent, and have recent experience in teaching and/or tutoring
- Good knowledge of the National curriculum –
- Be prepared to tutor face to face and/or online depending on any local lockdowns/closures –
- The ability to work to the school’s scheme of work and provide constructive and effective feedback –
- Good time management to fully utilise the sessions.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
