Teaching Personnel is seeking experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to support a variety of specialist education provisions across the Blandford Forum area.
This is an excellent opportunity for skilled support staff looking for flexible, part-time supply work within SEND and SEMH settings.
We work with multiple specialist provisions in the local area, meaning successful applicants will have access to a variety of placements and working environments rather than being restricted to one setting.
Whether you are looking for one day per week or several days of work, we have opportunities available to suit different levels of availability.
About the Role
This position is designed for professionals who are confident stepping into a classroom environment and making an immediate impact.
As these are ad hoc cover assignments, we are specifically seeking individuals who can hit the ground running and quickly build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Providing targeted support to pupils with additional learning needs
- Supporting young people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, and social, emotional and mental health challenges
- Encouraging participation in educational activities
- Assisting with behaviour regulation strategies
- Promoting independence and confidence
- Working alongside teachers and therapeutic professionals
- Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis or within small learning groups
- Maintaining a calm, safe and positive learning environment
Who We Are Looking For
To be considered, applicants should have previous experience working within education, care, support work, youth services, residential settings or specialist provisions.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
