Teaching Personnel are seeking to appoint a compassionate Key Stage 1 Teacher for class teaching and 1:1 intervention sessions at a School in Spilsby.
The School:
The School is very well accessible by bus, train and car with plenty of parking on-site. The school caters for pupils with SEN such as Autism, Aspergers, Downsyndrome, Physical Disabilities and challenging behaviour. The school instils a nurture approach in all teaching methods which enables development of emotional and social skills.
The Job:
As the class teacher, you will have a termly topic which you should plan for, delivering to 7 or 8 pupils at a time, with assistance from 2 or 3 Teaching Assistants. Afternoon sessions are made up of 1:1 intervention, using the pupil's individual learning plans to work on areas requiring improvement. The School follow the 'Letters and Sounds' phonics programme, with additional training from the School easily accessible.
