Teacher Required in Pupil Referral Unit (PRU)

Are you a qualified Teacher looking for a role in a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Leicestershire? Here at Teaching Personnel we are looking for Teachers who are confident in creating a safe and structured learning environment for young people who are at risk of permanent exclusion or who have been permanently excluded.

You will be required to create structured lessons that are delivered enthusiastically and creatively.

It is important you set clear behavioural expectations, rewarding positive behaviour and discouraging negative behaviour.

You will use successful behaviour management techniques to overcome educational barriers.

You must encourage both academic accomplishment as well as personal development for your pupils.

Pupils in these settings often have underlying explanations for their detachment to education so it is important to also be a sympathetic and considerate individual in order to allow all students to experience success. You will be supported by a team of committed staff to prepare students for their next step, be it reintegration into mainstream school, post-16 education or apprenticeships.
