If you are a teacher of Science who is looking for a supportive and oversubscribed secondary school within a short distance from the town centre? Then this teacher of science role is the one for you!

Teacher of Science:

  • Chesterfield
  • £500 - £800 per week
  • NQT's and experienced teachers welcome
  • All specialisms considered, Biology, Chemistry or Physics
  • Good school that is still improving
  • 2nd September 2019 to 20th December 2019 - with the opportunity to apply for the position on a permanent basis

Teacher of Science - school information:
This school is a large 11-18 secondary with sixth form offering excellent teaching and learning to almost 1,000 students. There is a large science department with exceptional facilities and state of the art laboratory classrooms which has recently undergone a complete refurbishment. The school is led by fantastic leadership who are described as 'Good' with outstanding leadership by Ofsted.

The school is committed to providing excellent training and development opportunities for all staff in order to ensure teachers become outstanding practitioners. There is a large focus on CPD as well as in house promotions as the school wants to invest in their teachers to build up the best teaching team in the area.

Teacher of Science - about the role:
You will join a warm and welcoming Science department as a Teacher of Science. This vacancy is available due to one of the current teachers of science relocating.

The science faculty has a strong team of teachers and is led by an inspirational head of department who is committed to raising standards and achievement. You will have access to excellent CPD and a well-resourced department to aid your teaching. If you can deliver 'Good' or even better lessons, this is the perfect position for you!

Teacher of Science - person specification:
Ideally you will have the ability to teach your specialist subject up to A level, however this is not essential. You will be the sort of science teacher who thrives at the front of the classroom and be able to produce inspiring and challenging science lessons.
