Teaching Personnel is currently working with a Good school just north of Canterbury who are looking to appoint a teacher of Music from September 2018 - an earlier start is possible. This role would suit a Newly Qualified Music Teacher looking for their first teaching position or an experienced Teacher of Music looking for a new challenge.

The role is to Teach Music at KS3, 4 and 5, At KS4 the school teach Music GCSE and you would be actively involved in delivering this, at KS5 A Level Music is a popular choice with students and successful applicants would be able to teach KS5 lessons. At KS3 Music is taught on a rotation with every student in the school at KS3 having one music lesson per week. Facilities in the Music department are excellent with access to ICT suites as well as a custom built practice and performance are in the music department. Instruments are readily available and an extensive extra-curricular programme is on offer for all students.

The school are looking for;

• PGCE in Music or a related subject area.
• Experience teaching Music to KS3, 4 and possibly KS 5 students.
• The ability to demonstrate excellent classroom practice.
• Excellent assessment skills and the ability to use these to progress students at every level.
• A passion for Music both in and out of the classroom.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
