Teacher of Mathematics- South Manchester

Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a Teacher of Mathematics to join our partner secondary school located in South Manchester from September. This position represents a fantastic opportunity for a Teacher of Mathematics to teach in a school that is rapidly improving under the strong leadership of a newly appointed Head teacher. There is also the possibility of a fixed-term/permanent contract being offered to the right Teacher of Mathematics.

  • Full time teaching position of Maths to KS3 & 4
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS (£22,917- £38,633)
  • Possibility of a fixed-term/permanent contract after the initial supply period (one term)
  • School located in South Manchester with direct public transport links from Manchester city centre.

The role-

Due to an unexpected gap arising in the Maths department, the Head teacher of our partner secondary school is looking to appoint a Teacher of Mathematics initially on a supply basis. This is an exciting time for a Teacher of Mathematics to join the school as they look to significantly improve the standards of teaching across all areas of the school. Further, the Head teacher and Senior Leadership team are relentless in their pursuit of providing the best possible education for the pupils.

The incoming Teacher of Mathematics will join a dedicated team of teachers within the Maths department who are all united in their ambition to ensure pupils enjoy studying Maths. The Head of Department is specifically seeking a Teacher of Mathematics who has a proven track record of raising attainment at both Key Stages.

The school-

The school is slightly smaller than the rest of the schools in the local area with just under 700 pupils on roll. At present, the number of pupils considered to be disadvantaged is slightly higher than the national average. In a recent Ofsted inspection, the pupils were commended for their positive approach to school life and how they respect each both each other and the staff.

It is located within South Manchester which offers excellent accessibility to the areas of Wythenshawe, Stockport and Tameside via the M60 motorway. There are also direct bus and tram links from Manchester city centre.

How to apply-

Any Teachers of Mathematics wishing to be considered for this position, just need to submit your full CV to Paul via the link below. Alternatively, to discuss this in further detail please contact the Manchester South Secondary branch directly.
