Are you a Geography Teacher looking for work in the Blackburn area?
Teaching personnel are working in partnership with a school in Blackburn to recruit a Geography Teacher to join their successful humanities department. The school requires a Teacher Full time to deliver Geography up to GCSE level. The position has become available due to the resignation, of one of the schools Geography Teachers. The position starts from January 2018 and will run on a temporary basis till the end of the academic year. Should a candidate get on well in school the Head Teacher is likely to make a permanent position available.
The school is a smaller than average school with approximately 650 pupils on roll. The school has seen considerable improvements in the results and the school has been commended for the improved behaviour policies. The school has a highly inclusive attitude towards new staff at the school and would always look to put support in place to ensure that the member of staff settles well into the school.
NQT's and experienced Geography teachers would be considered for the role. The school is looking for a candidate with a good knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 Geography curriculum who would be confident planning and teaching lessons to a variety of pupil abilities and backgrounds.
