Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a large Academy trust at one of their sites in Gosport. The Academy aims to brig together its schools and collectively endeavours to make a difference, with Gosport and Fareham learners' achievements, being greater and aspiring its pupil to reach further academically and outside of school. The local commitment to this initiative is overwhelming; schools and communities see this as an opportunity for a group of schools to become greater than the sum of their parts. The members and directors have a clear ambition and belief in local schools working together for the benefit of all their young people.

One of its secondary schools are seeking to expand their Technology and Creative Arts Faculty with the appointment of an outstanding Food Preparation and Nutrition teacher. The opportunity exists to teacher KS3 and KS4 classes, have your own tutor group and become involved in the schools wider community. This is an exciting opportunity that offers candidates the chance to play a key role in shaping and developing a curriculum that ensures that pupils enjoy their lessons; are challenged appropriately; make expected academic progress over time; and develop both life and career skills.

The successful candidate will be:

  • Able to work using their initiative to create lessons which has good pace, are motivating to pupils and inspire them to take an interest in their nutrition
  • Able to encourage and enthuse students to achieve their full potential
  • Committed to ongoing professional development within the trust
  • Experienced in teaching the subject with good graded references from previous employees

Ideally the school are looking for a teacher who is trained in Food Technology and have QTS. The school are open to applicants who are NQT's, those who previously qualified in other relevant subjects and unqualified teachers providing extensive relevant experience.
