HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) – SEN Experience Required | Northampton | Immediate Start

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and experienced HLTA with SEN experience to join a supportive and inclusive school in Northampton, with an immediate start available.

This is a rewarding opportunity for a confident HLTA who is passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs and helping them achieve their full potential in a nurturing environment.

The Role:

  • Support teaching and learning across the classroom, including leading lessons when required

  • Work closely with students with SEN, including those with ASD, ADHD, and other additional needs

  • Deliver targeted interventions on a 1:1 and small group basis

  • Assist in planning and adapting learning activities to meet individual needs

  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and support staff

Requirements:

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience

  • Proven experience working with students with SEN

  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills

  • A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
