This large secondary school in Basingstoke who wish to appoint a highly motivated and creative Teacher of Design and Technology from September 2019 or January 2020. This permanent position provides an excellent opportunity for a teacher looking to progress his/her career and would suit either an experienced or a Newly Qualified Teacher of Design and Technology wishing to develop his or her potential.
The school have recently invested in their Design and Technology faculty building and equipping new workshops with state of the art equipment, creating a safe and enjoyable working environment. They also have plans to improve their Food Technology Kitchens in the next few years to create a state of the art workspace.
To be successful you will be:
- An excellent classroom practitioner.
- Able to demonstrate success in teaching Design Technology to Key Stages 3 and 4 students of all abilities
- Have specialist skills in one or some of the following: Resistant materials / Electronics / Graphic Design
- It would also be an advantage to be able to teach Food Technology
- Committed to achieving the very best outcomes for our students
- Able to create a stimulating learning environment
- Passionate about teaching and learning
- Able to make a significant contribution to the development of the Technology Faculty
