Design and Technology Teacher

To strengthen their existing team and to continue to build on success from this year, the school that is based in Southampton considered to be ‘good’ are seeking to recruit a Teacher of Design Technology to start in September (subject to schools re-opening) 2020.

The department is consists of 4 teaching staff led by an experienced subject lead who all share the same ethos that ‘D&T should develop confident and capable young people with the potential to produce effective solutions to many of the problems we face today’. Teachers encourage their students to be forward thinking and to value the place of Design & Technology in the 21st Century. The team is a multi-disciplined one offering students a broad and rich curriculum with excellent facilities including two fully equipped workshops and food classrooms.

To help drive the department forward and extend their provision further, the head of department is seeking a Design and Technology teacher specifically with experience teaching at both kS3 and KS4. The ability to teach engineering would be advantageous, although not essential. At this school, they are particularly interested in practitioners who strive to be outstanding, with a real passion for your subject and raising attainment. You should be equipped to support a range of learners and provide a world class education that in inclusive of all. The post would be suitable for an NQT or more experienced teacher.
