Teacher of Business

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Teacher of Business to join a large Secondary school in the Portsmouth area to join their growing Business department!

The ideal candidate will be expected to:

• Have QTS or equivalent
• Plan and deliver to a GCSE level
• Offer innovative teaching ideas within the department
• Be responsible for the progress and attainment of pupils
• Have in depth knowledge of their subject

As a large school in the heart of the City, they are looking to expand their business department and require a new member of the team to join their team. The school has a "good" Ofsted rating where the level of progress and attainment through the school has been particularly rapid in the last few years. With an extremely positive and supportive SLT, the school is actively encouraging its staff to create innovative and inspiring lessons to allow their students to flourish through their years. The school centres its lessons and teaching practises around the needs of the pupils, ensuring that the pupils progress is regularly checked and reviewed to allow for changes and adaptations to be made.

The business studies department boasts great teachers with a wealth of experience in their own respective fields, working collaboratively for success. This department is excited to welcome new staff to the school, bringing innovative ideas to aid the school is their mission of irresistible learning. You will be expected to deliver lessons across KS3 and KS4 and therefore in depth knowledge of your subject area is desirable. The department is open to application for NQTs providing comprehensive understanding of the subject area.
