Teaching Assistant - Tameside

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an aspiring Teaching Assistant at one of Teaching Personnel's client comprehensive secondary schools in Tameside! The school are requiring the support from a dedicated Teaching Assistant, as soon as possible, to help raise attainment in core subjects prior to the summer exams and to help teachers across all departments with a range of class room activities.

The role of Teaching Assistant will very depending on the needs of the pupil, but will generally involve supporting those pupils who are currently falling behind, struggling to engage in lessons and assisting the class teacher with setting up the classroom and planning exciting lessons. The successful Teaching Assistant will support pupils in smaller groups and on 1:1 when required. The support you will be giving will mainly be in class but will sometimes be in a separate classroom leading small support sessions. If you are a graduate with a subject specialism, you will also have the opportunity to provide support in your area of expertise too!

  • Full time Teaching Assistant required at a Tameside secondary school
  • ASAP until the end of July initially
  • Earn up to £1200 a month
  • Supporting the learning of pupils across KS3 and KS4 in smaller groups and 1:1
  • Assisting class teachers with a range of in class tasks

If you are a graduate or considering a career in teaching and are looking to gaining regular Teaching Assistant work within a Tameside secondary school, this could be the role for you! You will join a friendly and welcoming team with respectable students, supporting their overall mission to be outstanding. The school is a fairly new establishment, located just outside of Ashton-under-Lyne, close to the M67 motorway. For non driver, the school is accessible via public transport from in and around south / central Manchester.
