Make a real difference to the learning experience of your pupils as you take on this 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant role at a fantastic secondary special needs school in Swanley.

***1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant post available to start after February half term
***Excellent facilities at the school including sensory circuits, Forest School, trampolining
***Long Term, Full-Time
***£55-£65 per day to start, depending on experience
***Minimum level of education must be A Levels
***You will be responsible for providing support for students with moderate learning difficulties, including some challenging behaviour and autism

For this position you will be an assertive and amiable person, who has the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, children and parents. The school wants to recruit someone who has a strong understanding of the problems students face and a sensitive, professional approach to helping different students progress. The successful applicant must show the ability to be charismatic and passionate in your mannerisms and go the extra mile for your pupils.

You will be supporting the learning of Year 10 pupils, working with small groups as you support the learning and social development of the whole class. You will be working under direction from the class teacher, and there will be another support assistant in the room.

This charming school is found in Swanley and is easily accessible by car - a large staff car park is available. You can also take public transport - a regular bus route drops you off just a few minutes walk from the school. It has a fantastic reputation in the local community and staff enjoy working with a positive and approachable SLT.
