Job description

A Head Teacher based at a Rawtenstall primary behavioural unit has approached Teaching Personnel to recruit a Teaching Assistant on a long term basis. The School is based in Rawtenstall, East Lancashire with close access to public transport and plenty of on site parking. The School is smaller than average and caters specifically for KS1/2 pupils with SEMH Difficulties, Autism, ADHD, ODD, Conduct Disorder and Challenging Behaviours. The staff in School are very supportive and they are seeking a Teaching Assistant to join their growing team.

The School are looking for a hard working, enthusiastic, empathetic and dedicated member of staff who has experience supporting pupils with SEMH Difficulties. The School are looking to appoint a candidate on a long term basis and there could be the potential of a permanent position for the right candidate.

The candidate must have experience supporting pupils with additional needs and challenging behaviours. Team Teach trained candidates will be favoured for this position although this is not essential and candidates must be available full time.

The successful candidate will benefit from:

- Negotiable pay rates £57 - 67 per day

- Long term position available

- Rewarding position supporting pupils with SEMH Difficulties
