Are you a care or support worker looking for a new challenge?

Do you have experience supporting children or adults with additional needs including autism and MLD?

I am looking for an engaging individual from a care/support worker background who is looking to make a move into a classroom support environment at an exceptional school in Didsbury. This school supports pupils from the ages of 5-18 years old.

The significant focus of this small, nurturing school is to prepare pupils emotionally and socially to become self-reliant, caring, responsible adults. Small classes allow for varied support which is tailored to individual needs, ensuring that all young people can reach their potential both academically and in terms of developing independence skills.

This school is committed to working closely with parents, carers, other agencies and the wider community to ensure our pupils receive the best possible opportunities and care.

Requirements

  • Experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Experience supporting adults and/or children with Moderate Learning Difficulties
  • An empathetic and patient approach
  • DBS on the update service
  • Driving Licence (preferred)
  • Team Teach is desirable, but training is available.
