We are looking for compassionate support workers to support young people who have Autism.

A SEN school in Shillingstone, North Dorset, support some really amazing young people from 7- 19 with Autism and we are looking for resilient role models who can join them as support workers.

The school is an independent specialist day and residential school for young people aged 7 to 19 years with Autism and associated difficulties including challenging behaviour. Students have personalised and individualised programmes, designed by a multi-disciplinary team of professionals to support the young people to make progress, develop skills and engage socially with others. As a Support Worker you will ensure that the children and young people in your care are safe, healthy and able to make a positive contribution, realising their potential through enjoyment and achievement. This role also involves supporting with personal care and hygiene including toileting, bathing and showering.

We are looking for motivated care professionals who will strive to meet each young person's individual needs at all times. Although it is not essential you have experience supporting young people with special needs, it would be beneficial for you to have an understanding of Autism.

This school is not easily accessed by public transport so applicants must have a full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.
