***Primary Children Support Assistant***

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking new support assistants for a Primary School in Andover working with Pupils with complex needs. The needs of attending pupils are varied, but are either Emotionally Vulnerable or Autistic.

The Ideal Candidate:

Ideal candidates may need to be able to drive but it isn't essential, as there are other schools we work with that could be local to you.

Ideal applicants should have classroom experience especially with SEN pupils.

Without classroom experience any personal experience with the following could help the candidate succeed in this role:

  • Psychology graduate
  • Youth work experience
  • Care worker
  • Challenging behaviour within family
  • Sports coach

Applicants will be working in a very small classroom setting of no more than 10 pupils along with a teacher and fellow support worker on a 2:1 basis.

Candidates must have a passion for personal progression as there are many options of promotion and progression within the school.

Following on from that, Teaching Personnel do offer many development courses through our CPD Academy; such as Autism Awareness, Safeguarding and Team Teach to help support any successful candidates within this environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
