Job description

This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...

Teaching Personnel are the nation’s largest and number one recruitment agency for education, and we are currently looking for a number of specialist Teachers to work with us on day to day supply roles and longer-term cover.

Working with over 70% of schools in Cornwall, we are constantly having new roles come up and therefore need your help! We have part time and full time positions available and are working towards roles for Easter 2021. The roles we have are on a temporary basis, but they all have the chance to lead to a permanent contract if needed.

Teaching Personnel are an agency who work with both education staff and schools in providing the best levels of education for children and young people. We recruit to the highest standard including getting your two most recent or relevant references from a senior member within the past 6 years, checking or applying for children only DBS’ on the Update Service (Child & Adults DBS’ are not able to be used, and the DBS does need to be registered on the Update Service.) We are able to help with this by countersigning your documents, providing you the most reliable DBS application form and assisting you throughout. The DBS is at a cost of GBP40 from yourself and a subscription fee of GBP13 is needed for the Update Service, which can then be renewed annually for GBP13 also. We offer a professional CV writing service which will then be sent to the schools and an experienced consultant will work closely with you on all your roles and applications.

Free Safeguarding and Prevent training will be provided and does need to be completed before you undergo a role (in-date certificates can also be used). There is additional CPD Academy training if you wish at a discounted rate, and new courses will be made known to you.

The role as the supply teacher will be that of any other teacher within the class. Most of the time the work is left for you to teach and mark, but you will work closely with other professionals, know any individual needs of the children, and collaborate with the class Teaching Assistant to support you on your time within the role. If the work is not set, you will be made aware of this before the role and pay will be negotiated for both this and any long-term bookings. You may be asked to teach a specific year group or subject and this will be discussed when TP call you. General cover for a range of year groups may happen on day to day supply, but long-term roles of your specialism will be run by you.

If you are interested in finding out more, or would like to register, please call Shannan on 01872 250 120 or email an updated CV to Shannan.ince@teachingpersonnel.com

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
