Supply Teacher - Selby

Teaching Personnel is working exclusively with a small alternative provision in Selby in the academic year of 2020/2021. Teaching Personnel is the first port of call for temporary and temp to perm staffing requirements, including class teaching and tutoring work. You will be paid between GBP110 and GBP130 per day, depending on your qualifications and experience, and and paid to scale for any long term supply bookings, in-line with AWR. The School:

  • A small Key Stage 3 and 4 alternative provision close to the centre of Selby, with a teaching day of 0900-1430 with staff in from 0830-1500
  • Class sizes of up to 4 students with support staff to assist where applicable
  • Admissions are by referral through the Selby Collaborative or the Local Authority and referrals are made by schools or may be made through an Educational Social Worker if a student is from out of area 
  • The School's vision for all of their pupils is ‘Dream Big.  Dare to Succeed.’ and this is incorporated into all lessons 
  • An Ofsted Good provider in thier most recent 2018 inspection

The Job Role:

  • To work across a range of subjects including English, Maths and Science, providing engaging lessons from the planning left 
  • To attend a staff briefing at 0830 and debriefing at 1430 on all days you are required to work
  • To effectively manage behaviour in-line with the School's policy; verbal de-escalation techniques are used
  • To liaise with staff members across the School to effectively deliver lessons, possibly outside of your own subject area
