Teaching Personnel works with a variety of secondary schools in the PO areas including Independent, Academy Trusts and Local Education Authority Schools. Often they are in need of supply teachers to cover classes in the absence of their usual teacher. Most commonly you would be required to cover sickness at short notice with the opportunity of being booked in advance to allow teachers to participate in training courses, fundamental meetings, course attendance and time away from the classroom. You will cover a range of subjects as well as your specialist area.
A variety of work opportunities will be given to you including subject specialist cover, General Cover and even exam invigilation and inclusion support. Schools can offer a variety of work for differing lengths of time, anything from a half day booking through to a year long maternity cover.
