The Ideal Applicant:
- Must be a qualified teacher (QTS or Equivalent) with experience of teaching primary aged children
- Driving License and car is a benefit but not essential
- A DBS on the update service is essential (or willing to apply for one)
- 2 graded references from past employers
- Available between Monday-Friday
- An ability to build good working relationships with both pupils and adults
- Good organisational skills
- Flexibility and creativity
- Enjoy working with children
- Ability to manage groups of pupils and deal with challenging behaviour
- Basic IT skills
We want our supporting staff to be there and really help our children with their educational and social development, both in and out of the classroom. This means being able to support pupils with particular individual needs, be it working one-to-one or in small groups.
The majority of work tends to be pre-booked and we often have schools that will want to book the same teacher on the same day/days each week. Bookings can be 1-5 days with the flexibility to accept and reject work depending on your work availability. Even if you just have one day free and would like to gain more experience/keep you hand in education, please get in touch with the team. We can almost guarantee you work.
