Supply SEN Teaching Assistant

Job description

Teaching Personnel are the leading recruitment agency for Education, covering England and Wales.

We are currently working with a number of SEN schools across South Yorkshire and are looking for support assistants on either a full or part time basis who would be happy and able to undertake the following;

  • Supervise pupils and attend to their personal needs and implement personal programmes including social, health, physical, hygiene, first aid and welfare matters.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans and Personal Care programmes
  • Establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs including support for pupils in distress
  • Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils
  • Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher
  • Set challenging and demanding expectations and promote self-esteem and independence

This position is ideal for Teaching Assistants with previous SEN experience or people with a background in working in care.
