Sports Coach
Full time Sports Coach required to work in secondary schools in the Barnsley area, supporting with PE lessons as well as extra curricular activities.
Teaching Personnel are teaching a full time Sports Coach to work at a number of schools across the Barnsley area to assist in the coaching of a number of sports and assist in the running and supervision of sporting events and extra curricular activities such as after school clubs and sports days. Due to the nature of this position the hours are flexible, allowing you to work around your current commitments as well as the needs of the schools.
- Full time and part time hours available on a flexible working basis
- Working as a Sports Coach in a number of secondary schools in the Barnsley area
- Supporting both KS3 and GCSE pupils within lesson as well as after school and in extra curricular activities
- Further development opportunities through Teaching Personnel's CPD programme
You will be responsible for the coaching a wide range of sports including; football, basketball, tennis, cricket and rugby, so you must have a wide range of sporting knowledge and ability. This would be a perfect opportunity for any recent sport or coaching related graduates seeking further experience in a secondary school environment before enrolling on a PGCE or similar teacher training programme.
As well as Sports Coaching you may also have additional responsibilities within the school, such as covering lessons in the absence of teachers, or supporting pupils on a 1:1 and group basis, assisting in any behaviour, learning or SEN related issues they may have.
