Sport Graduate Teaching Assistant Role

Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit sport graduates looking to get into the education sector as a teaching assistant. The role requires candidates to work on a one to one basis at a client school based in Cardiff. The students that attend the client school may be diagnosed with autism or co-existing conditions including ADHD, learning difficulties, anxiety, Tourette's syndrome, epilepsy and or challenging behaviour. You will be required to keep pupils on task to meet their learning aims and objectives, focusing on keeping them engaged with the lesson. You will be expected to work between regular school hours of 8:30-3:30. We offer a competitive rate of pay ranging from £54.00-£60.00 a day based entirely on experience.   • Have a sports degree or equivalent
  • Have a sporting background (desirable)
  • Have good communication skills
  • Have strong behaviour management skills
  • Have an understanding of SEN
  • Be a team player
  • Have an outgoing personality
  • Be confident
  • Show great resilience
  • Have a passion for helping others
