Job description

We are looking for candidates who have training in SEN specialisms such as PECS and BSL, Team Teach, Sensory and Mobility therapy and Autism Awareness. The students will need supporting in their own individual way, whether its with behaviour, focus or other complex needs.

SEN schools offer fantastic facilities to meet the needs of the students, such as sensory rooms, hydro pools and life skills facilities. Working in this environment is stimulating and engaging, helping the students to progress and become more independent.

Teaching Assistants take on a very caring and supporting role, helping the children to feel secure whilst at school as they build relationships with both students and staff. It is imperative that the educational environment has a positive impact.

You are expected to have a non-judgemental approach and have patience to assist students and teachers with their needs in the classroom. You may be responsible for moving and handling or personal care so training or experience in these is ideal.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
