Special Needs Teaching Assistants - Full Time

Job description

Teaching Personnel are supporting a Special Needs School in Slough providing specialist education for Early Years, Primary, Secondary and Post 16 pupils. They are currently looking for numerous teaching assistants to work with Early Years and Primary Pupils with

  • Autism
  • Speech Language Communication Needs
  • Mental Health Needs
  • Physical Disabilities
  • Hearing Impaired
  • Visual Impaired

The role involves working 1:1 with pupils supporting in Math, English, and Science. All children will be working at one or two levels below the national curriculum. Some primary pupils are working at the EYS curriculum and secondary pupils working at the primary curriculum.

Candidates are require to work Tuesday to Friday 8.30am-3.30pm and 8.30am-4.30pm Monday for extra training and personal development. Candidates need to be:

  • Strong with behaviour management
  • Patient and Resilient
  • Experienced working with children and/or adults with Special Needs
  • Experience with Special Needs professionally or personally.

If you have a background in support worker, youth work, care work, psychology, or education with children and adult this role would be ideal.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
