I am working with an SEN school for children with moderate learning difficulties, situated in Swanley, that requires a teaching assistant to join their large staff team as soon as possible.

The school has provision for students with autism, ADHD, social, emotional and mental health difficulties and other moderate learning difficulties. It caters for children aged 7-19 and also provides a residential option for up to 20 students during the week.

The teaching assistant role available:

• Full time, long term role, with the potential to become a permanent position if you like the school and do well
• Each working day is 08:45am - 15:45pm, Monday - Friday, term time only
• You will be placed in a mixed key stage 3 class of 10 students
• There will be two other teaching assistants in the room who you will work with on a daily basis
• The school offer regular INSET training days, which you will be invited to take part in

• Large hall with sensory development activities including trampolining
• Outdoor learning including Forest School and horse riding
• Outside play and learning spaces
• Residential provision for up to 20 students during the week

Trials for the position are being offered over the next two weeks. As soon as you are registered with Teaching Personnel you will be set up with a trial at the school. In order to register with Teaching Personnel you must be able to provide a 6 year career history, references from your current and previous employers and have a DBS registered to the update service, or be willing to complete a new application as soon as possible.
