Special Educational Needs Secondary Teacher required for SEN School - Peterborough

We are looking for a SEN Secondary Teacher for a role in Peterborough at a Special Educational Needs school. The school require a Secondary Teacher with the ability to teach any of the core subjects to GCSE level.

The role would suit a teacher with experience teaching pupils with SEN either in a mainstream or SEN school. The school is very supportive and offers on going training and development.

About the Role

  • Experienced Teacher
  • Planning and Teaching core curriculum to a high standard
  • English, Maths or Science specialism
  • Knowledge of vocational subjects would be advantageous
  • Maintaining awareness of curriculum developments
  • Specialist Teaching Assistants in each class room
  • Uphold all safeguarding procedures
  • Opportunity to engage in further support and training

Key Skills

  • Have previous experience working within a SEN environment
  • Up to date knowledge of the national curriculum
  • STEP de-escalation training or Team Teach desirable
  • A passion to engage and motivate pupils in their learning
  • A sense of humor!
