A SEN primary through to Post-16 school in Wimbledon , South West London is seeking special needs support assistants eager to make a difference to the lives of children with autism and complex learning needs.

Are you eager to work with young children and adults with special needs and give them every opportunity and chance to flourish both in education and within the community?

Due to the complex needs of the pupils, the right support assistant will have experience or training to support autism, challenging behaviour, learning difficulties, speech and language or sensory needs.

Successful applicants will have:

  • Special Needs experience, particularly working with Autism, learning difficulties, challenging behaviour and communication/speech difficulties
  • Full-time availability Monday to Friday 8:30 - 4:00pm
  • Caring, pro-active and engaging personality
  • Support / Care Worker experience with Personal care/Moving and handling training
  • Play work or Early Years experience for support with social and play skills
  • Teaching/Learning support assistance experience
  • Team Teach/ Studio 3/ Positive Behaviour Support

Pupils will benefit highly from someone able to utilise any of the skills mentioned above as working in our special need schools is a challenging but beneficial role with focus on building genuine positive relationships with pupils, on-going training and an exceptional staff team.
