An Outstanding academy in central London seeks a Sociology Teacher to start on a temp to perm contract in September.

THE SCHOOL:

Since opening, the Academy has more than tripled its examination results at GCSE with over 70% of students achieving A* - C grades in core subjects. Their popular International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and Career-related Programme in the Sixth Form resulted in over 95% of Sixth Formers achieving A*-C and ranking top of the school performance tables in London in 2015. It is also part of the mayors 'gold school' club. It is easily accessible via tube, train and bus, and promotes and inclusive ethos and engaging teaching.

THE ROLE:

The school are looking for a Sociology teacher to teach 5 days per week, approximately 17 hours of contact time, K3-KS5. You will be responsible for planning, preparing and delivering; engaging and challenging lessons. You will report into an actively involved and supportive HOD who has a track record of getting their staff promoted. Due to the late notice of the role, the school are considering paying above scale. The teacher who was due to take the role up, has had to return to their native Australia on a family emergency.

REQUIERMENTS:

Must hold a UK recognised teaching qualification, i.e. BSc QTS, BA QTS, CERT ED, PGCE, B.Ed
