Speech and Language Teaching Assistant required for 1:1 support within a 'Good' Blackburn Primary School.

I am currently seeking an experienced CACHE Level 2/3Teaching Assistant to provided 1:1 support for a Reception pupil with Speech, Language and Communication Needs. The role is to start after October Half Term and run until at least Christmas 2016, with the opportunity to extend longer.

We have a high demand for Speech and Language Graduates to work in Primary Schools across Blackburn and Darwen. We deal with a range of schools that require graduates to work as general classroom support and on a one-to-one basis with pupils with specific learning needs including those with Speech, Language and Communication Difficulties.

The school is a larer than average CE Primary school located just off the M65. In the most recent OFSTED, the school was rated as 'Good'. The school is easily accessible from junction 3 and 4 of the M65 and is located with the Darwen area.

A Degree qualification is essential, and candidates with prior experience working in a school setting are highly desirable. The needs of the pupils you will be supporting are broad - ranging from Moderate Learning Difficulties to those with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties. TA's with additional skills such as Makaton, BSL and PECS are extremely sought after.
