Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a 3 form entry primary school in the Burnage area of Manchester (M19). The school are looking for a dedicated teaching assistant to support pupils across the school with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN). The successful candidate will work closely with SEN students across KS1 & KS2 who have been identified with SLCN on a 1:1 basis. The school are looking for a Teaching Assistant who will be dedicated to creating a purposeful learning environment by adapting teaching and learning techniques at all times.

The ideal candidate will work closely with the schools SENCO to adapt and develop IEPS to cater to the children's academic progression. The successful Teaching Assistant will be expected to assess developments and feedback to the class teacher, SENCO and parents.

The position is to work in a larger than average, 3 form entry primary school in Burnage, Manchester, M19. The school is dedicated to continually supporting learning and celebrating individual's progress. The school has high levels of SEN and requires a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full time basis!

This SLCN Teaching Assistant post will start after the May half term and will run into the next academic Year.

The ideal candidate will have;

  • Relevant experience of working with SLCN
  • A patient and sensitive approach to supporting learning
  • A motivational attitude to encourage disadvantaged learners
  • Experience of SLCN and phonic schemes will be advantageous.

You may also be required to adapt the National Curriculum to meet the needs of pupils who have SLCN and are non attenders of mainstream education and devising Individual Education Plans to reflect their development needs.

This is a 'GOOD' primary school with an 'OUTSTANDING' management and leadership team so the successful candidate will receive all the necessary support they need to settle into the role. The school are seeking a teaching assistant who will fit well into their SEN team and will follow the schools 'warm and welcoming' ethos.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
