Site Manager for Large Secondary School

Purpose: To provide an efficient caretaking service to the School. Responsible for Site Assistants and allocation and completion of work.

Role: Site Manager

Reports to: Estate Manager

Working time: 37 hours per week / 52 weeks per year, Regular evening and weekend work, both as part of a shift pattern and to cover unplanned absences will be required.

Allowance: A shift allowance of 14% will be applied to this role. No other entitlement, e.g. weekend or night working allowance will apply if in receipt of a shift allowance.

Teaching Personnel is recruiting on behalf of an Academy Trust who is based in Gosport to appoint a Site Manager. You should be a confident, self-motivated individual who is an excellent communicator, patient with a friendly approach and able to lead a team providing caretaking and porterage services to a large secondary school. This role will require somebody who is physically fit to meet the demands of the role which include regularly moving and handling future and equipment.

Specific areas of responsibility include:

• Security
• Lighting and heating of the premises
• Cleaning and maintenance
• Porterage duties
• Other duties; detecting building defects, taking necessary action in the event of bad weather, liaise with the hirers of the school facilities, maintain and update health and safety policies
