Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated SEN Tutor to join our team in Lewisham, Greater London. As an SEN Tutor, you will be responsible for providing tailored support and guidance to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Your primary focus will be on assisting SEN students in their academic and personal development, ensuring they have the necessary tools and resources to succeed.
Job Duties:
- Develop individualised learning plans for SEN students
- Deliver engaging and interactive lessons that cater to diverse learning styles
- Assess students' progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to support students' needs
- Provide a safe and supportive learning environment for SEN students
Required Qualifications:
- Experience working with students with SEN
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient and empathetic approach towards teaching
Education:
Relevant qualification in Education or Special Education
Experience:
Prior experience working as an SEN Tutor or in a similar role
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of SEN regulations and best practises
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
- Strong organisational and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional training in SEN support
- Experience working in a school or educational setting
Working Conditions:
This is a temporary position with part-time hours. The role may require flexibility in working hours to accommodate students' needs. The work environment will involve interacting with students, parents, and educational staff.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
