SEN Teaching Assistants

Job description

Teaching Personnel on behalf of a diverse and rewarding SEN school specialising in challenging behaviour and autism are looking for teaching assistants with a real passion for working with children who have additional needs to join their committed team on a supply basis. The successful candidate will be supported by a fantastic staff team and will be working with a group of children who have very mixed abilities.

As a supply teaching assistant you will be responsible for ensuring that your class are able to enjoy both learning and play in a caring and creative environment and will be expected to deliver the work set in an engaging and encouraging style - whilst adapting your lessons to differentiate accordingly.

Initially this post is on a day to day basis with a view to extend to a long term opportunity. Our specialist SEN branch is currently looking for exceptional candidates for this role in order to meet our total commitment to our schools and the children they support.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
