SEN Teaching Assistant – September Start
Location: SEN School
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time, Term Time Only

A mixed primary and secondary SEN School are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join their supportive and inclusive team from September 2025.

About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and the SENCo to provide tailored support for pupils with special educational needs. You will play a key role in helping students access the curriculum, develop their confidence, and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support individual students or small groups with additional learning needs

  • Assist in the implementation of educational health care plans 

  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment

  • Promote students’ independence and social development

  • Liaise effectively with staff, parents, and external professionals

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (in education or care settings)

  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant or SEN-related training) are desirable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
