SEN Teaching Assistant needed for Salford (M3) RC primary school graded 'Outstanding' by OFSTED

  • Salary - (£14000 - £18000)
  • Start date - 3rd September 2018

Teaching Personnel is currently working closely with a Salford (M3) primary school and are looking for a SEN teaching assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a child in year 1 with Down syndrome. The child will be arriving in September so the school is looking for an experienced TA to come in and support the pupil throughout the academic year, enabling the pupil to access the national curriculum.

As part of the role you will be expected to:

  • Support the child in the classroom and lead 1:1 intervention settings
  • Think creatively and have a flexible approach to learning
  • Liaise with the SENCO and class teacher to report on the children's development after each day

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
