Job description

We are looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to work for one of our excellent Secondary schools in Slough. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting students on a one to one basis and be supported by the school SENCO and Class Teacher. The school emphasises on giving training in social and life skills as well as creating a development of recreational and leisure skills, group work and community involvement.

The school caters for Male to Female 3-19 years and then further education. They emphasise on giving training in social and life skills, the development of recreational and leisure skills, group work and community involvement. Input is always dependent upon age, ability and individual needs.

SEN Needs:

  • ASD
  • Austism
  • Interaction difficulties & Related Challenging behaviour.

You will be provided with past assessments of the children's particular needs and be reporting to the school SENCO. Your role will be to support and help engage the children academically as well as building relationships with the students so that they succeed in there school years and have the best opportunities in life. You will be working 1:1 with the children in classrooms no bigger than 10 students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
