Teaching Personnel are offering the successful candidate the chance to make a real difference in the lives of young children with SEN and develop their independence for when they leave school. The client we are working with is an organisation providing teachers and support staff to schools in the Salford borough. The position is an SEN Teaching Assistant, working with children of all school years and dealing with a full range of SENs, such as ASC, SEMH, PMLD and physical disabilities. The position is temporary but with the opportunity to become permanent if you settle into the role well.

Main responsibilities will include:

• Engaging students when distracted from their learning
• Assisting the execution of tailored lesson plans
• Reporting back on behaviour to promote best practice
• 1:1 work ensuring pupils stay on track with the curriculum

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

• A keen interest in the wellbeing of children with SEN
• A calm and resilient personality
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Previous experience in an SEN setting

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
