Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) - Cannock

Location: Cannock (WS11)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: £32,916 - £48,000 per annum (MPS/UPS), dependent on experience. ECTs are encouraged to apply.

About the Role

We are working in partnership with a well-established secondary school in Cannock, to recruit an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) to join their successful department from September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for an inspirational teacher to deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. The ability to teach French, Spanish or German is welcomed, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for suitably experienced candidates.

The Role

As a Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality MFL lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Inspire students to develop confidence in speaking, listening, reading and writing in a foreign language.
  • Plan and deliver creative lessons that promote excellent progress and attainment.
  • Assess and monitor student performance, providing constructive feedback to support development.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and extracurricular language activities where appropriate.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is an Early Career Teacher (ECT).
  • Has experience teaching one or more of the following languages:
    • French
    • Spanish
    • German
  • Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and a passion for language learning.
  • Has strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Is committed to raising achievement and inspiring a love of languages.
