SEN Teaching Assistant - York

The Job Role:

  • To support Primary aged pupils with diagnosed special needs, such as ASC, ADHD, MLD, SpLD, PD, SLCN and PMLD
  • To assist in the delivery of P-Scales curriculum, Phonics and play-based learning
  • To ensure a safe learning environment for all students to access
  • Supporting identified children on a 1:1 basis
  • Liaising with Teaching staff within the School

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

  • To have worked with children in a supportive capacity previously
  • Hold good knowledge of child development and social development 
  • Be resilient when facing challenging behaviour
  • Understand the key factors of an EHCP
  • Have experience of supporting special needs with vulnerable children or adults
