A larger than average Primary school situated in Bournemouth has approached Teaching Personnel in preparation for the schools to be back up and running in the near future. They are hoping to source an intervention teaching assistant. The Head Teacher has commented they need to have plans in place in order to support children appropriately in the summer term.

They are hoping to find an enthusiastic individual who can offer additional support to children in a variety of year groups including Year 1, Year 2, Year 3 and Year 4. The role is on a full-time basis (Monday – Friday, 8.45- 3.30) to ideally start in June/July, this depending on school closures. The role initally will be until the end of the academic year however it is highly likely you will be needed in the next academic year.

The main purpose of the role is to boost children in gaps of learning focusing on English and Maths. In the morning, you be supporting groups of children within the classes. Then in the afternoons you would be planning and leading small group interventions out of class. You would be given allocated time to plan the interventions and receive support from the class teachers with regards to the objectives/ subject coverage.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
