Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a SEN Teaching assistant to fill a full time role in a single form entry primary school in Ely. This would be a full time role starting in the summer term- you would be required to offer support to a pupil in KS2 who has ASC SEN- therefore experience with ASC/GDD/SLD would be hugely beneficial to the candidate. You would be required to support the pupil throughout the school day, in the classroom and sometimes on a 1:1 basis- this would involve but may not be limited to:

- Supporting the pupil with their understanding of the school work set out by the teacher

- Bahaviour management/support 

- Monitoring the progress and development of the pupil and reporting this back to the teacher

- Running 1:1 sessions with the pupil to provide extra learning support

- The role would also include some general TA duties such as- Classroom and resource management- Assisting the teacher with behaviour management of pupils- ensuring the learning environment is safe and one where all pupils can thrive

The ideal candidate for the role: 

- Background in SEN/ Care (specifically ASC/GDD)

- Teaching assistant experience( Desired not essential) 

- Enhanced DBS on the update service (we can help with this) 

-Uk address and right to work

- Experience working with pupils on a 1:1 basis 

- safeguarding training 

-Hard working and a good attitude to all aspects of work
