Teaching Assistant - SEN Support 

A mainstream primary school in Formby, L37, are currently searching for a full time 1-1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support multiple pupils in their Complex Needs Unit. The pupils have various needs such as Autism, ADHD, Learning Difficulties, Physical Disabilities and Impaired Speech and Communicational needs.

You will be working to support the Class Teacher,  to support the pupil's learning and development 

The ideal person will have previous experience working as a SEN Support Assistant in a Primary School and be confident with their ability to support children with complex needs. A qualification/ training would be desirable but not essential.

The role is to start after the October half term until the end of the academic year in July 2021.

This is an Ofsted graded 'Good' Primary School 

The role:

• Full time
• Hours approximately, 8:40am - 3:15pm 
• GBP10 - GBP11 per hour
• Start date: November 2nd 2020

The tasks which a Reception SEN Teaching Assistant carries out can include:

• Working to support a Class Teacher
• Running interventions/ group sessions
• Planning activities and fun learning opportunities 
• Assisting with personal care when required 
• Preparing materials, equipment and lessons
• Assessing the individual learning needs of pupils
• Liaising with parents, carers and other professionals who work with the pupils

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
