SEN Teaching Assistant with experience working with children diagnosed with Autism, SEMH or EAL | Team Teach qualified for a Primary School based in Sittingbourne

Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking to work with children with Special Education Needs?

A primary school in Sittingbourne are looking to recruit a SEN teaching assistant to work 1:1 with pupils within their Autism Provision, to support the pupils throughout KS1 and KS2. The role would be to start as soon as the school reopens after the current Coronavirus pandemic.

Your role will be to work with pupils that have been diagnosed with ASD or complex needs along with other associated conditions including EAL and challenging behaviour.

SEN Teaching Assistant - Autism / Team Teach experience
• Degree or Level 2 or 3 qualified Teaching Assistant
• Experience in a SEN role - Ideally with Autism experience
• Team Teach trained highly sought after
• Ideally having worked in a similar setting supporting students with complex needs
• Knowledge of using communication strategies
• Ability to manage challenging behaviours
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Be a good role model for the young pupils
• Ideally Team Teach trained
• Ability to drive pupil progress and keep them on task

• Provide support and guidance to students
• Day to day support for life skills
• Prepare resources under teacher instruction
• Effective record keeping in line with the EHCP
• Starting as the school is reopened.
• GBP60 - GBP70 per day

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
