Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Classroom Teacher to join a highly respected specialist educational setting in Yeovil.
This is a full-time opportunity supporting children and young people aged 4 to 18 with a range of complex additional needs, including Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), communication barriers and associated physical needs.

The Position
- Deliver engaging and highly individualised lessons tailored to diverse learning needs
- Create an inclusive atmosphere where pupils can thrive academically, socially and emotionally
- Lead a team of support staff within your classroom
- Monitor attainment and development through meaningful assessment practices
- Contribute to Education, Health and Care Plan targets and annual reviews
- Work collaboratively with therapists, families and multi-agency professionals
- Promote independence, communication and life skills across the curriculum
- Support educational visits, enrichment activities and wider school initiatives
- Maintain a safe, structured and stimulating learning environment
About You
We welcome applications from experienced practitioners and Early Career Teachers.
To be considered, you should have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- A minimum of 6 months' childcare experience, particularly supporting children with additional needs
- Strong classroom management and adaptive teaching skills
- A genuine passion for SEND education
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- An understanding of personalised learning approaches
Previous experience within specialist provisions supporting pupils with SLD or PMLD would be advantageous.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
